Joel Brand heads the Operations team which is responsible for assisting SpotGenie clients with the preparation of their spots for air including video transcoding, closed captioning, slating, editorial, tagging and quality control.
Joel comes to SpotGenie from a ten year stint at Outback Editorial in Atlanta where he was, most recently, Owner/President and Creative Postproduction Editor. Here he worked closely with the advertising, television and film production communities helping to launch award winning national campaigns for a wide range of media outlets including The Food Network (Good Eats earned both a Peabody Award and the Best TV Food Journalism Award), the US Marines, Walt Disney Parks, US Virgin Islands Tourism, Levi’s, and BlueCross BlueShield, among many others.
Joel graduated from Georgia State University with a BFA in Communication where he studied Film/Cinema/Video Services. He also attended Emerson College in Boston. He is married and makes his home in Grayson, GA with his wife Selena and son Dakota.
